Pasaman Barat Bangkit: Pengukuhan Forum TBM Dorong Revolusi Literasi!
rban.or.id -Pada pagi Ahad, tanggal 12 Mei 2024, sebuah acara penting telah terselenggara di aula Dinas Kearsipan dan Perpustakaan Daerah Pasaman Barat. Acara tersebut adalah pengukuhan pengurus daerah Forum Taman Bacaan Masyarakat (Forum TBM) Pasaman Barat untuk periode 2024 – 2029.
Dalam acara yang disaksikan oleh berbagai pihak termasuk Kepala Dinas Kearsipan dan Perpustakaan Kabupaten Pasaman Barat, Kepala Dinas Pendidikan Kabupaten Pasaman Barat, serta sejumlah undangan lainnya, Denni Meilizon dan timnya secara resmi diukuhkan oleh Hasan Achari Harahap, Ketua Pengurus Wilayah Forum TBM Sumatera Barat.
Pengukuhan ini tidak hanya sekadar seremonial, namun juga diharapkan menjadi awal terbentuknya sebuah tim yang solid dan berdedikasi dalam meningkatkan literasi di kalangan masyarakat setempat. Dengan susunan pengurus yang baru, diharapkan tercipta momentum baru untuk meningkatkan minat baca dan pengetahuan di Pasaman Barat.
Hasan Achari Harahap, dalam sambutannya, menyampaikan optimisme atas hadirnya Forum TBM di Daerah Pasaman Barat. Dia berharap bahwa keberadaan Forum ini dapat menjadi contoh bagi daerah lain untuk segera membentuk Forum TBM di wilayah masing-masing, Baru 4 PD Forum TBM yang terbentuk sejauh ini, kita menargetkan seluruh Kabupaten yang ada di Sumatera Barat memiliki pengurus daerahnya.
Acara pengukuhan ini juga menjadi momentum penting dengan kehadiran berbagai tokoh penting seperti Ibu Sry Eka Handayani penerima Nugra Jasa Darma Pustaloka Tahun 2021 dari Perpusnas kategori masyarakat, bapak Muharram selaku Kadis Dinas Kearsipan dan Perpustakaan Pasaman Barat, serta Syamsul Bahri Kabid PAUD PNFI yang mewakili Kadis Pendidikan Kabupaten Pasaman Barat.
Muharram, sebagai pembina Forum TBM Daerah Pasaman Barat, menekankan pentingnya kolaborasi antara pemerintah dan Forum untuk bersama-sama meningkatkan literasi. Dia juga mengumumkan bahwa pemerintah setempat telah mengalokasikan dana untuk membangun Gedung Perpustakaan Daerah, yang akan dimulai dengan peletakan batu pertama pada tanggal 21 Mei 2024 mendatang.
Dalam sambutannya, Denni Meilizon, yang baru saja dikukuhkan, menegaskan pentingnya akses terhadap bahan bacaan bagi masyarakat Pasaman Barat. Dia mengajak semua pihak untuk bersama-sama mendirikan Taman Bacaan, Rumah Baca, Pojok Baca, Warung Baca, dan Pustaka Mesjid/Mushala sebagai upaya nyata meningkatkan literasi di daerah tersebut.
Tahun 2024 ini juga menjadi momentum penting dengan bantuan bahan bacaan bermutu yang akan diberikan kepada 9 Pustaka Nagari dan 12 TBM di Pasaman Barat oleh Perpustakaan Nasional RI, dengan total 21 ribu bahan bacaan dan 21 rak buku.
Dengan komitmen dan kolaborasi dari berbagai pihak, harapannya Forum TBM Pasaman Barat dapat berperan aktif dalam meningkatkan literasi masyarakat, sehingga menciptakan budaya literasi yang tangguh dan berkelanjutan di daerah ini. Semoga langkah-langkah ini menjadi cikal bakal bagi masyarakat Pasaman Barat yang lebih literat di masa depan.
