Bung Hatta, Pemain Tangguh di Plein Van Rome
Sosok Bung Hatta tidak bisa dilepaskan dari buku, kebanyakan orang lebih mengenal salah satu founding father bangsa dari Minangkabau ini sebagai kutu buku. Hal yang wajar karena terdapat banyak cerita tentang dirinya yang menggambarkan kecintaan sang proklamator tersebut terhadap buku. sebut saja kisah 16 peti buku milik Bung Hatta yang di bawa serta ke Bandar Niera, tempat pengasingan dirinya bersama Sutan Syahrir periode 1936-1942. Akan tetapi orang-orang tidak banyak mengetahui dengan hobi Bung Hatta selain membaca. Ternyata Athar (panggilan kecil Bung Hatta) juga mempunyai hobi olahraga, yaitu sepak bola. Bung Hatta yang mempunyai hobi olahraga sepak bola bukan hanya sekedar sebagai penonton, melainkan Bung Hatta pernah menjadi aktor lapangan hijau. Dia bergabung dalam klub sepak bola Young Fellow, yang para pemainnya terdiri atas anak-anak Belanda dan pribumi. Hobi Bung Hatta tersebut dilakoninya ketika bersekolah di Meer Uitgebreid Lager Onderwijs (MULO) Padang tahun 1913.
Jika kita berkunjungan ke kota Padang, terdapat sebuah Ruang Terbuka Hijau (RTH) di tengah-tengah kota, letaknya berdekatan dengan pusat pasar, gedung wali kota lama dan kantor pos. RTH tersebut bernama lapangan Imam Bonjol. Suasana sejuk sangat terasa jika berada di dalamnya, sebab banyak pohon berbatang besar dengan daun-daun yang rimbun menutupi cahaya matahari untuk tembus ke tanah. Pada sisi barat lapangan, terdapat semacam tribun yang dinamakan sebagai balairung, berbentuk seperti rumah adat Minangkabau, rumah gadang dengan atap melengkung dan memiliki anjungan pada masing-masing sayap. Berhadapan dengan balairung tersebut terdapat sebuah lapangan sepak bola yang masih sering dipergunakan untuk melakukan latihan ataupun pertandingan sepak bola.
Lapangan Imam Bonjol 109 tahun yang lalu menjadi saksi bisu seorang tokoh bangsa yang tercatat namanya dalam sejarah kemerdekaan Indonesia pernah bermain sepak bola di lapangan tersebut, dahulu namanya Plein Van Rome atau dalam bahasa Belanda “Stadion Roma”. Bung Hatta muda pernah meliuk-liukan badannya menghindari kejaran pemain lawan. Sang proklamator yang terkenal dengan kedispilinan ini juga pernah menjadi pemain tangguh yang dijuluki Onpas Serbaar (sulit ditembus). Segudang prestasi telah diukir oleh om kaca mata (sebutan Des Alwi) bersama klub Young Fellow dengan menjuarai kompetisi se-Sumatra sebanyak tiga tahun berturut-turut. Kemampuan Bung Hatta dalam mengolah bola dikisahkan oleh salah satu temannya saat bersama-sama bersekolah di MULO, Rahim Oesman. Dia adalah tukang jinjing sepatu Bung Hatta, dengan menjinjing sepatu, dia bisa masuk lapangan Plein Van Rome secara gratis untuk menyaksikan pertandingan sepak bola, kenangnya, ketika menceritakan kepada Marthias Doesky Pandoe, 78 tahun, seorang wartawan tua dari Padang.
Tidak banyak pemain sepak bola modern yang memiliki kemampuan untuk menempati berbagai posisi. Hal tersebut tidak sama dengan Bung Hatta, dalam karir sepak bolanya di Plein Van Rome, Bung Hatta sering berpindah posisi. Di klub Swallow, dia menempati posisi pemain belakang, sedangkan di klub Young Fellow sebagai gelandang tengah sesekali menjadi bek yang tangguh. Lain lagi kisah ketika dia bergabung dengan klub Jong Sumatra Bond (JSB), Bung Hatta berubah posisi sebagai pemain penyerang tengah. Setelah Bung Hatta tidak lagi bersekolah di MULO karena melanjutkan sekolah dagang ke Prins Hendrik School (PHS) di Batavia, tidak terdengar lagi kabar bahwa sang proklamator tersebut bermain sepak bola kecuali saat berada di pengasingan boven digul pada tahun 1935. Dalam Memoar seorang Eks Digulis: Totalitas Sebuah Perjuangan, Mohamad Bondan masih ingat posisi pemain pendatang baru: Marwoto sebagai penjaga gawang, di depannya berjaga dua pemain bertahan Bung Hatta dan Burhanuddin. Tiga pemain gelandang Datung singo di kiri, Maskun di tengah, serta Sabilal Rasad di kanan. Di depan berjejer Lima penyerang yakni Suka, Bondan, Sjahrir, Lubis dan Muhidin.
Sepak Bola yang menjadi olahraga pilihan dari sang proklamator telah menjadi alat perjuangan dalam merebut kemerdekaan Indonesia di era 1930-an. Sejarah sepak bola di Indonesia bertujuan untuk melawan penjajah melalui perkumpulan sepak bola. Ir. Soeratin Sosrosoegondo mendirikan Persatuan Sepakraga Seluruh Indonesia, yang sekarang dikenal dengan Persatuan Sepak Bola Seluruh Indonesia atau PSSI yang bertujuan menumbuhkan rasa nasionalisme di dada pemuda-pemudi Indonesia di waktu itu. Penggunaan Bahasa Indonesia sengaja dipakai untuk meneguhkan identitas ke-Indonesiaan menuju kemerdekaan. Pemerintah kolonial belanda akhirnya membentuk NIVU (Nederlandsche Indische Voetbal Unie) sebagai tandingan PSSI pada Juli 1935. Disaat tumbuhnya nasionalisme melalui organisasi PSSI tersebut Bung hatta masih berada di Belanda bersekolah di Nederland Handelshogeschool, Rotterdam pada tahun 1932. Sepulangnya Bung Hatta ke Indonesia setelah menempuh pendidikan di Belanda tersebut, Bung Hatta memulai perjalanan hidupnya dari pengasingan ke pengasingan, penjara ke penjara karena ketakutan belanda kepada tokoh revolusioner tersebut, sehingga tidak terdapat kisah Bung Hatta memberikan perhatian terhadap perkumpulan sepak bola Indonesia tersebut.
Kecintaan Bung Hatta dengan olahraga rakyat ini tetap berlanjut hingga Indonesia merdeka. Tetapi bukan menjadi pemain melainkan sebagai penonton pertandingan sepak bola. Diceritakan oleh Guntur Soekarno Putra dalam bukunya Pribadi Manusia Hatta, seri 10, yang berjudul “Nonton Bola, Apa Tafakur? bahwa Bung Hatta pernah beradu argumen dengan Soekarno terhadap kekalahan PSSI saat melawan kesebelasan Aryan Ghimkanna dari India di Stadion Ikada (sekarang Monas). Hal Tersebut menggambarkan keseriusan Bung Hatta terhadap urusan sepak bola. Salah satu bung yang mencintai bola ini juga pernah diundang oleh Ali Sadikin (Ketua PSSI 1977-1981) untuk menonton pertandingan sepak bola bersama Sri Sultan Hamangkubono IX. Sampai ketika di usia senja sang proklamator tersebut masih sempat mengenang lapangan tempat bermain bola saat masih bersekolah di MULO tahun 1913-1919. Pada awal 1970-an, tatkala Marthias Doesky Pandoe bertamu di rumahnya, Bung Hatta sekonyong-konyong bertanya, “Di mana letak Plein Van Rome sekarang?”
Pandoe menjawab, lapangan bolanya masih ada, tapi sudah beralih fungsi menjadi alun-alun kota Padang. Namanya sudah menjadi lapangan Imam Bonjol, tepat di depan kantor Balai Kota Padang.
Apa kabar sepak bola Indonesia sekarang?. Prestasi tim nasional Indonesia tidak begitu memuaskan di kancah Internasional, sejak berdirinya PSSI pada tahun 1930 hingga sekarang tidak banyak prestasi yang diukir oleh tim yang dijuluki Garuda Indonesia tersebut. Pada kejuaraan AFF Cup yang diikuti oleh negara-negara Asia Tenggara yang berlangsung setiap 2 tahun sekali, Garuda Indonesia tidak pernah menjadi juara sama sekali, kejuaran AFF Cup yang diselenggarakan sejak tahun 1996 (masih piala Tiger) berarti sudah 13 kali perhelatan kejuaraan itu digelar, Tim Garuda Indonesia hanya meraih prestasi 5 kali duduk sebagai runner-up.
Sedangkan di ajang sepak bola Sea Games, tim nasional Indonesia sedikit lebih baik karena mengukir prestasi meraih mendali emas pada tahun 1987 dan 1991 di ajang olahraga negara-negara asia tenggara yang berlangsung setiap 4 tahun sekali.
Sepak bola adalah olahraga persatuan, Bung Hatta mencintai olahraga tersebut sejak di usia dini, di masa kesadaran bangsa Indonesia mulai tumbuh akan pentingnya sebuah kemerdekaan. Bung Hatta muda menjadi sosok pribumi yang tangguh dalam mengolah si kulit bundar di hadapan pemain kolonial Belanda di lapangan Plein Van Rome yang sekarang bernama lapangan Imam Bonjol Padang. Onpas Serbaar (sulit ditembus) merupakan julukan orang-orang kepada Bung Hatta, walaupun bertubuh kecil, sang proklamator tersebut dapat bersaing dengan pemain-pemain berdarah Belanda yang mempunyai ukuran badan orang Eropa yang besar. Perjalanan hidup sang proklamator ketika merumput di lapangan hijau tersebut merupakan catatan penting yang harus dikabarkan kepada generasi muda yang kian lama kian tergerus rasa nasionalisme disebabkan karena lebih fanatiknya terhadap pemain dan klub-klub luar negeri. Generasi muda lebih mengenal dan mengangumi klub-klub eropa seperti Barcelona, Real Madrid, Bayern Munchen, PSG, MU dari pada Persija, Persib, PSMS, PSM Makasar, Semen Padang dan klub-klub sepak bola yang berkompetisi di dalam negeri. Bahkan, kepercayaan diri pemain tim nasional Indonesia juga tidak terlihat ketika berkompetisi di laga Internasional seperti AFF Cup. Kekalahan yang diterima oleh tim Garuda Indonesia bukan saja kesalahan pemain semata, tetapi prestasi olahraga sepak bola merupakan kerja kolektif yang berproses dari berbagai pihak mulai dari pengurus, pengamat, serta penonton harus memiliki semangat untuk mengubah persebakbolaan Indonesia.
Persepakbolaan Indonesia harus belajar dari sosok Bung Hatta yang bukan hanya tangguh dalam bermain sepak bola tetapi bapak bangsa yang juga turut berjuang merebut kemerdekaan negara dari tangan kolonial Belanda dengan menanamkan rasa nasionalisme dalam perjuangannya. Bung Hatta pernah berkata “Kita masih terus berjuang jadi tuan rumah di negeri sendiri, tanyakan pada diri,” apa yang sudah saya berikan untuk bangsa ini?”, kata-kata bijak tersebut menggambarkan bahwa sosok Bung Hatta adalah seorang nasionalis sejati yang mengorbankan jiwa dan raganya untuk Indonesia. Kemerdekaan Indonesia bukanlah pemberian dari penjajah, tetapi kemerdekaan yang kita peroleh merupakan izin dari Allah subhanahu wa ta’ala serta usaha dari seluruh bangsa Indonesia.
Persepakbolaan Indonesia harus terus berbenah menuju ke arah yang lebih baik, mengukir prestasi di setiap kompetisi Internasional. Bung Hatta, Pemain Tangguh di Plein Van Rome menjadi insprasi bagi persepakbolaan tanah air. Jayalah sepak bola Indonesia.
