Perpustakaan Proklamator Bung Hatta dan Ikatan Pustakawan Indonesia (IPI) Gelar Trauma Healing di Tengah Bencana Galodo Sumatera Barat
Sabtu, 8 Juni 2024 – Perpustakaan Nasional Indonesia, melalui UPT Perpustakaan Proklamator Bung Hatta (PPBH), melaksanakan kegiatan trauma healing untuk anak-anak korban bencana alam Galodo di Jorong Galuang, Nagari Sungai Puar, Kabupaten Agam, Sumatera Barat.
Bertempat di SDN 05 Galuang, para pemustaka dari UPT PPBH mengadakan berbagai kegiatan untuk menghibur anak-anak yang terdampak bencana pada 11 Mei 2024. Kegiatan tersebut meliputi mendongeng, membaca nyaring, bernyanyi, bermain game, dan membaca buku dari mobil pustaka keliling.
Trauma healing ini juga didukung oleh Ikatan Pustakawan Indonesia (IPI) pusat, PD IPI Sumatera Barat, dan Rumah Baca Anak Nagari. Kolaborasi antara organisasi dan asosiasi yang bergerak dalam literasi ini merupakan kegiatan kedua yang sebelumnya telah dilaksanakan pada 25 Mei 2024 di SDN 08 Kubang Duo Bukit Batabuah, posko pengungsian bencana Galodo di Bukit Batabuah.
Syamsul Bahri, Ketua PP IPI, yang turut hadir dalam kegiatan tersebut, menyampaikan rasa belasungkawa yang mendalam atas bencana Galodo yang terjadi di beberapa tempat di Provinsi Sumatera Barat pada 11 Mei 2024 lalu.
“Apa yang dapat kita lakukan sebagai pustakawan dalam membantu masyarakat yang tertimpa musibah? Salah satu cara adalah dengan memberikan edukasi tentang bencana alam, penyebab, akibatnya, serta kemampuan untuk mengatasinya,” ungkap Bapak T. Syamsul Bahri saat menyampaikan sambutan dalam kegiatan trauma healing tersebut.
“Pustakawan setempat melalui PD IPI dapat melakukan berbagai kegiatan seperti mendirikan pondok baca di daerah aman dekat penampungan, dengan kegiatan seperti membaca nyaring, bercerita, mendongeng, dan permainan tradisional anak,” lanjutnya.
Kepala UPT PPBH, Ibu Leksi, menyerahkan bantuan berupa uang kepada pemerintah daerah setempat yang diwakili oleh Inyiak Jorong dan Kepala Sekolah SDN 05 Galuang.
“Kami turut prihatin atas musibah yang menimpa saudara-saudara kita di Galuang, semoga kedatangan kami dapat memberikan sedikit kecerian untuk menghilangkan trauma pada anak-anak yang terdampatk musibah” ujarnya saat penyerahan bantuan tersebut.
Selain di Jorong Galuang, Sungai Puar, rombongan juga menyerahkan bantuan ke Nagari Bukit Batabuah yang tidak jauh dari lokasi sebelumnya, Bantuan tersebut diterima oleh penanggung jawab posko bencanya yang berada di kantor wali nagari bukit batabuah, sebab Wali Nagari tidak berada ditempat karena sedang mengikuti acara di kantor dinas Bupati Agam tentang tanggap bencana saat diconfirmasi melalui telepon.
